The disaster of the NBN speaks volumes as to how inefficiently government spends money, regardless of party affiliation. As our government is a patently ineffective, wasteful body, it should be given less tax- payer money to spend, not more.
This isn’t to argue government shouldn’t be investing in public infrastructure, nor deny that problems engulfing the NBN are a complex matter.
But the inexplicable waste associated with the NBN for nearly ten years, should motivate bipartisan forces to cap spending among government bureaucracy and agencies.
For otherwise, debt will infinitely expand, and political elites will continue to recklessly splurge Australia’s hard earned wealth.
