The Donald Trump Presidency

Sebastian Gorka Resigns from Trump Administration

It appears too early for nationalist/ populist conservatives to lose hope in the Trump White House. However, recent personnel changes are deeply concerning.

Breitbart, by Ben Knew, 25 August, 2017:

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who has served as deputy assistant to President Donald Trump since January, resigned from the White House administration on Friday evening.

“Given recent events, it is clear to me that forces that do not support the MAGA promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House,” Gorka wrote in a letter addressed to the president. “As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People’s House.”

Sources within the administration close to Dr. Gorka claim he became disillusioned because Trump’s key policy platform of fighting radical Islamic terrorism was repeatedly undermined when his national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, fired key individuals from the National Security Council who were loyal to that platform.

A source close to Dr. Gorka claimed that he made his decision following the president’s speech in which he indicated he would escalate America’s war in Afghanistan. “The anti-MAGAs” have control of Trump’s foreign policy, the source said.

In his resignation letter, he also expressed disappointment with the administration’s new foreign policy direction, particularly in light of Donald Trump’s most recent speech in which he announced his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. Gorka wrote:

Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will “Make America Great Again,” have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months. This was made patently obvious as I read the text of your speech on Afghanistan this week. … The fact that those who drafted and approved the speech removed any mention of Radical Islam or radical Islamic terrorism proves that a crucial element of your presidential campaign has been lost.

Gorka had also become deeply frustrated with the unprecedented levels of personal abuse propagated against him by the mainstream media –which included attacks against Gorka’a children – as well the numerous bureaucratic obstacles used to slow down his work on national security issues, including delaying Gorka’s final permanent national security clearance.

During his time in the administration, Gorka focused on key issues such as tackling radical Islamic terrorism, the diplomatic crisis in Qatar, and managing relations with China. He also earned a reputation as a formidable media persona, repeatedly ripping mainstream media networks such as CNN for their propagation of fake news narratives.

Breitbart is currently in negotiations with Dr. Gorka regarding his support for the website, as well as collaboration on a joint venture that would embody a Jacksonian national security vision.

  1. A lie – the only response conservatives can come up with when having to
    confront the truth.
Stephen Miller, the Trump administrations Hyde version of Pee Wee
Herman’s Jekyll will undoubtedly be departing as well due to the laughable
“deep state” conspiracy theory conservatives embrace as a catchall reply
when asked how much is two plus two?
I submit it would be more appropriate if the Republican moniker of “grand
old party” were replaced with the Chicken Little Party as they’re always running
around claiming the sky is falling when it begins raining truth and facts.

    1. See rezinate that is where you are very wrong. A white nationalist is a figure who believes in the creation of a post white ethno state in the United States. Moreover, collectivist folks like Richard Spencer and the like have no great problem with the idea of the European Union, and they seek to create new mega- states based purely upon white skin colour. As opposed to this, Gorka is a counter- jihadi, an Islam critical figure. And there is not even a smidgeon of evidence that Gorka has white nationalist beliefs in the slightest. The problem with slurring everyone with ‘white nationalist’ is when these individuals are verifiably not of this movement, is that when the real white nationalists emerge: eg. Richard Spencer, who uses race as virtually his only means of assessing character, and has despicable eugenics- era views on abortion, you will have alienated his opponents on the Right, and you will be totally unprepared for genuine Right wing extremism. So no, viewing your assessment as a lie was more than accurate there.

  2. Re BMan’s “Never an R or D again” – Spot on! That’s because there really no longer are two parties but on Permanent Bi-Partisan Fusion Party as witnessed by McConnell’s slow walking the Trump agenda in the Senate and his deliberate sabotage of the Obamacare repeal.

Re Gorka’s departure – there are no Conservatives left in the White House. Trump was a registered Democrat until 2012 and was a frequent contributor to the various Clinton campaigns and to Chuck (the Schmuck) Schumer. Leftist McMaster seems to be calling the shots now. I fear Trump is returning to his New York Liberal roots.

    1. There’s certainly a sound argument for McMaster’s insidious influence. As for conservatives in the administration, it seems that only Miller and Sessions are left to fight the Left from within..

  3. Trump is ultimately responsible for what McMaster does. It would not be so without his blessing.

The Trump Train was a no-go from the get go.

You’ve been duped. He is a liar. An actor.

Never an R or D again!

    1. The cover story of Gorka “resigning” is so cliche as to be predictable – he got the boot and rightfully so, end of story.
One less white nationalist racist to have to contend with which there is no place for in any democracy.
Never R or D again – exactly so Independent or nothing.
Brietbart and Gorka – the alt rights version of Ren and Stempy.
