The Donald Trump Presidency

Donald Trump calls Russia probe ‘single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history’

While President Trump’s unpredictable style has in part exacerbated ongoing controversy over supposed Russian collusion, Trump is mostly right here.

Investigation into potential Trump- Russia collusion should proceed, however, the public’s ability to perceive truth will dissipate in such a tribalistic, divided political environment.

Meanwhile, Democrats are clutching onto whatever means available to oppose Trump, and insatiable bouts of ‘impeachitis’ have climaxed to full effect.

Not that Leftists ever wanted anything different, as they have never accepted the election result of November 8, 2016, and remain steadfast in their total opposition to Trump and his agenda.

And yet we hear Leftists whining that investigations into Russia are not about partisanship, and are instead about ‘protecting democracy’.

But if this truly were the case, then no.1: Leftists would actually accept that Trump fairly won the 2016 election.

And no.2: If Democrats had any care for the sanctity of democracy, they would universally stand in opposing the unelected, deep- state bureaucrats who are wholly intent on overturning the democratically elected Trump mandate, through releasing damaging leaks.

Put simply, Democrats don’t care about either of those issues despite their purported support for combating those who ‘interfere with democracy’.

Instead, resistance is good resistance, whether true or in the best interests of national harmony.

News Corp Australia, May 19, 2017:

DONALD Trump claims he is the victim of a “witch hunt” after a former FBI director was appointed to lead an investigation into his campaign’s alleged ties to Russia.

“This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!” the US president tweeted on Thursday.

In a joint press conference with Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos this morning, Mr Trump reiterated his claims that he was being unfairly targeted.

“I respect the move but the entire move has been a witchhunt,” he said. “I believe it hurts our country terribly, because it shows we’re a divided, mixed-up, not-unified country.”

“We have very important things to be doing right now, whether it’s trade deals, whether it’s military, whether it’s stopping nuclear … And I think this shows a very divided country,” he said.

“As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know — there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity.”

The Justice Department on Wednesday appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special counsel to lead a federal investigation into allegations Mr Trump’s campaign collaborated with Russia to sway the 2016 election that put him in the White House….

  1. Yes, many of Trump’s wounds are self-inflicted, but there is no doubt that what the Democrats are attempting is nothing less than a bloodless coup. Wouldn’t they have screamed like a banshee if the American right had tried to bring down their hero 3M* the way they are trying to bring Trump down?!

Michael Goodwin addresses what Trump should do here:

    * 3M – The Marxist Muslim Mulatto: Obama

  2. Regarding your point one I’d just like to share a tweet from Donald J. Trump 7th November 2012:
“The electoral college is a disaster for democracy”

In response to the investigation, it is clearly warranted as both sides agree that there was interference with the 2016 election. Firing the lead FBI investigator after he asked for more resources has certainly put pressure on Trump and republicans have also called for special counsel investigator Robert Mueller. What’s even more pressing is that James Comey has said he will testify regarding the alleged memo where Donald Trump told him to drop the investigation. If this memo is true this definitely draws parallels to the Water Gate situation and could potentially be as damaging as an obstruction of justice. Trump has certainly put himself in a very sticky situation.

    1. I honestly believe that Trump has made a mess of the situation, but is genuinely in honest idiot for the most part. But, there is a special prosecutor so I guess we will see.
